I had a chance to shoot and direct a spot with my old pal Osa of Complete Technique. He makes amazing handmade jewelry and has done lots of custom pieces for people like Mos Def, Hi- Tek (diamond encrusted MPC!!!) and Questlove. This fall he’s going to be featured in some upcoming New Era print ads and I shot a video companion piece. Be on the lookout.
I’ve got a project coming up with my friends over at Rocksmith and we did some test shooting down at the Navy Yard. I have a soft spot for abandon, rustic, dilapidated old buildings and this place doesn’t disappoint. Not sure if we will use the Navy Yard for the actual shoot, but I will definitely be back here again.
Superstudio was a short lived architecture collective based in Florence, Italy. Although lasting less than 15 years their influence on conceptual architecture was felt long after the group’s demise. The book “Life Without Objects” lays out their unique ideology supported with many visual examples.
Vacations are nice. Retreat, relax, refuel.
This sequence from “George Washington” is one of my favorite film openings as far epicness is concerned. The mood, cinematography, movement, and voiceover all work in harmony.
